Andrew McCraven, III is a native Memphian. He is affectionately known as Drew. He has worked in various industries, but his passion is "all things media related".

​

In 2004 Drew started Millennial Entertainment and Marketing. It is an entertainment company that provides event planning, production and public relations services.

​

Drew has been the Entertainment Manager, Stage Manager and MC for "Africa in April Culture Awareness Festival" for over 30 years.

​

Drew also serves on the board of directors for Studio C Creative Complex and he is the Founder and CEO of Positive Reaction, a grassroots non-profit committed to uplifting the Memphis community.

Angela Jackson, a.k.a The Weekend Girl, is a "Natural" with an energetic and magnetic personality. She thrives on positive energy and strongly believes in "team" success. Angela received a B.A. in Communications from The University of Memphis (U of M) and has worked various shifts for WUMR, "TheJazz Lover", Iheart Radio Media Entertainment including Hip-Hop station WHRK –K 97 FM, Memphis’ R & B & Old School station – V101.1 FM and WDIA -The Heart and Soul of Memphis.

 

Previously, Jackson served as the radio traffic reporter for then Clear Channels' Urban's cluster which is now known as, Iheart Media while Fill-in anchor as WPTY TV traffic reporter.  Currently, Angela is the Wednesday Morning Show host for WYXR Raised by Sound community station and an active member with MOVIE GO, Inc. Angela has a huge sense of humor. She loves international travel, photography and loves good food!

 

Angela is no stranger to WLOK.  She had a chance to hold a weekend shift while a U of M student. Welcome back Angela!

CHIP WASHINGTON

Chip Washington is a Los Angeles, California native who came to the South in the early 90’s with a dream of being in the TV news business. Since then, he has worked at stations in Jackson and Meridian, MS. Other stops included stations in Jackson and Memphis TN including WBBJ, WHBQ and WMC-TV5 as an anchor and reporter.

 

He has also worked in the area of PR, media relations and corporate communications in various senior level positions from private to for profit, non-profit, academic organizations and businesses. Chip also served as the Public Information Officer for both the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and recently the Shelby County Health Dept.

 

Chip is married to Wanda and the father of two children; Breanne and David. He is excited to be a  part of such a legacy station in our city.

Chip also serves as WLOK's Director of Community Relations.

With over 25 years of experience in educational leadership, non-profit executive management and ministry, Rev. Dr. K. Andre Brooks serves as serves as Pastor of Providence African Methodist Episcopal of Memphis, where he is noted for ministerial emphasis on social justice, grassroots organizing, education reform, and leadership development. Rev. Brooks is redefining the role of the urban Church and its impact on community revitalization.

 

A noted expert in education leadership, inter-governmental affairs and  community organizing, Dr. Brooks provides his unique perspective and analysis to local/national media outlets for his research and programming on African American student Achievement and community economic development .

 

Dr. Brooks received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from LeMoynne-Owen College  and his Master of Education from Coppin State University, Masters Of Divinity from Howard University,  Certificate Of Non-Profit Executive Management from Duke University, Doctorate Of Ministry from Payne Theological Seminary and Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from Morgan State University.

Derrick-Anthony Holmes is a native Memphian; a member of Apostolic Deliverance Temple; and a senior at The University of Memphis majoring in Broadcast Journalism.

 

Derrick previously hosted The DeeFaith Gospel Radio Hour, which was the only gospel show on the University of Memphis Radio the ROAR. 

 

Derrick also manages his own "small" production company, DeeFaith Productions, which he creates and edit videos, take pictures and design graphics.

 

 In his spare time, Derrick enjoys spending time with his family, friends and traveling.
