Mr. Art Gilliam the President and CEO of WLOK Communications, has owned WLOK Radio, for 48 years.
You can find us on FM 105, the only black-owned FM station in Memphis, and AM 1340, the first black owned radio station in Memphis.
Congratulations to Mr. Art Gilliam on his induction into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony was held Thursday, September 25, 2025 at the Cannon Center.
Mr. Art Gilliam was the first black on-air reporter and anchor at Action News 5.
